But.... Some of the other missions were insanely hard. Have you even played the game yet, TB? Vizunah Square is CRAZY hard, as with some of the other missions. Unless you are doing the entire game with a guild B/P group, It's not that easy.

I personally think is challenging enough - I attempted a quest over in the starter island 8 times before i could get it right, i speant a few hours on that, mainly beacuse i wanted to do it myself, i didnt ask for help from level 20's, i used henchies and myself. and it felt very rewarding when i got it done. So the difficulty is fine imo.
Assumptions are never a good thing. I actually henched my way through everything except 3 missions, those being Sunjiang, Hatchery, and the Final Mission. However, I was doing it on a monk, which has proven much simpler than henching with any other character, as the monk AI is ridiculously stupid.

I didn't do all of the quests, but the vast majority of them, leaving only a few of the never-ending Fed Ex ones. I mean really, I get bored after running repeatedly from zone to zone, for me there is no fun in that, hence why do it. I play for entertainment after all.

I henched every mission except for Vizu Square and the last mission (before Shiro... Shiro is a ******* pushover with henchman). I did all this in 2 days. As a Warrior.

I say just make the elite missions more available to the average user and make them tough.

I beat the game with henchies.

It's not hard.

However, factor in the skill and ethics of your average pug player, add on to that people who jumped into factions right away and are still learning the game, plus the boat load of Hitzbollah Assassins, I can see where your average mission in Factions could be harder than THK.

The people that finished the game in two days, like others have said, must have played literally non-stop, rushing through and only doing the things they had to to get all the way to the end of the game quickly.

The vast majority of gamers are not like this. Not every person starts playing a game just as it has been released, and plays non-stop through two days simply because they want to finish the game fast and do it before everyone else does it. I don't understand the motivation for this really... fame? Being able to show others what you've achieved and the things you've reached in such short time? Or to have a load of fun in two days and then have finished the game and move on?

I'm not trying to insult the people that have played through the game so fast, they have every right to do that, but... Why should the game be changed because a tiny minority played non-stop to the end of the game in two days and say it was too easy? The casual gamer who plays a few hours a day will probably take several weeks to a month or more to complete the game with one character. They certainly won't be complaining about how easy it was when they've finished, I'll bet. If people that are taking a while say some of the missions and quests are actually fairly difficult, while the people that did everything so fast found it easy, then surely that makes a balance, considering those that did it fast are in the minority?

Leave it how it is, that's my vote. Don't let those who have gone before have it spoilt for those that go after them.

For those of you who found it simple - go back - start over - use something other than a WA\Mo or MM.

Different players will always find different aspects challegning. Many people I've encounter are complaining because its too hard.

Personally I find that the Factions quests and missions are quite challenging. If they were made any harder, I would have a LOT of trouble doing them...so naturally I'm gonna say "don't make it any harder than it is".

I started my character from the beginning. Being poor, I don't have millions of gold or godly items sitting in storage, ready to go. I'm using collector's items, and buying parts of my armor with gold that I find, as I go. I'm going along at a rather slow pace, but I'm enjoying it. To me it's definately a better challenge than Prophecies was.

In my opinion, the game should not be made harder just because a handful of people took already tweaked characters and rushed through the game. The way I see it, is the game is just hard enough to be a good challenge, while not being totally impossible (which it would be if it were made much more difficult).

I say that perhaps when you complete the game you can choose to do a mission/quest but have a harder difficulty setting.

Obviously there would have to be some reward like skill points etc

In a way - this is already in the game - take few members of the party/henchmen and you up the difficulty. Think something is too easy with 8 - Run it again with 5

This new chapters has been made difficult enough or the new classes have been designed weaker. Either way if you don't find the game chalanging, move on to something else or try doing everything with smaller parties. Go with four skills instead of 8 even. There are many things you can do to make the game more difficult for yourself without anet making any changes.

Anet tries and finds a balance of difficulty for all their players’ not just screw over and the lower skilled player vs. the so called elite. They done a pretty good job so far with this and I don’t fore see them changing this anytime soon.

Adding an option in game for the players to choose how hard the missions/quest will be it will never work. Just lead to more problem like "You can’t join group since you're not elite enough" Sounds just like HA with the ranks.

Existing bugs (or perhaps quirks), especially among the henchmen, make some of the missions and quests more challenging than they should be. And yeah, try henching the entire game with a mesmer or a ritualist or something like that, if you want increased difficulty.

PvE is naturally easy, because it doesn't adapt to what your doing. Couple of basic skills and you have it made. Heck people can SOLO some of the hardest areas of the game, what does that tell you?

You want difficulty? Go up against The Last Pride in a gvg, then complain about difficulty.

But digressing, I think they should have made it hard enoght that you can't get by misssions at all without some good skills, thus only solid players could make it to the end of the game.

But that would effect sales if the average joe can't beat the game, so they can't do that. Not like a pve hardcore player won't buy the next chapter because this one wasn't easy.

hm, i would be infavour of a dificulty button that appears only AFTER you have done the main game plotline....

<warning, sarcasm alert>

i mean, if you cant use your brain and take a different build, fewer guildies, all hench team, all hench SQUISHEIS team, try the game in your starter armour, try the game without armour at all, try the game without skills, without wepons ect, whats left to do, toher than to whine about getting the game made harder for you....

I tell for this one... 55hp

I prefer getting harder than easier for missions, Vizunah Square is hard even with 16 in team. I almost finish it with henchies only and we were only 2 players.
